What is life all about? What's the significance of life? Most people would ask this kind of questions and try to seek the answers during their whole lives.
Obviously it's a big question and there're millions of answers.
Some would say life is like a journey. Different departures, the same destination. We should appreciate the scenery during the journey, no matter what and how it is. Others would say life is a process reaching to happiness. Everything we do is to make us and people happy.
Have you ever seen the movie Match Point? There's a line which is significant to me.
There are moments in a match when the ball hits the top of the net and for a split second it can either go forward or fall back. With a little luck, it goes forward and you win or maybe it doesn't and you lose.
It sounds kind of fatalistic but it is how life works in my opinion.
Here're some other views.
Life is all about the journey - finding that deep inner voice within and listening to your calling.

Life is a card. One side, you can not identify what it is. On the other side, your life has already planed out.

I think of life as a series of steps, a circuit of moments, and a continual cycle. We walk the path in forward motion. Sometimes we’re clear about where we’re headed, and other times it seems a mindless stroll. But along the way, we embrace the joy, the love, and the satisfaction we find with others, the beauty of nature, and the sweet taste of success in relationships, jobs, and personal accomplishments.
The paths we choose to take, embodies the life we choose to have. Even more telling, is the way we handle the obstacles that occur along the way. I find life interesting, challenging, awesome, thrilling, beautiful, painful, but most of all, meaningful. We share it with others, but we live ours alone. It’s because of God’s grace, we have life; it is a gift. Life, therefore, is about giving back, appreciating, learning, loving, sharing, and being grateful for it.
